Time to make New Year’s Resolutions for 2025: Cultivate Healthy Sleep

start with building a good sleep routine.

"It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved
in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked out" by John Steinbeck.
Everybody knows good sleep is important, adequate sleep duration,
appropriate timing, regularity while individual sleep needs vary.
Despite growing appreciation of the importance of sleep,
the ultimate reasons for sleep remain mysterious.
Sleep affects almost every type of tissue and system in the body,
inflammation, cardiovascular disease, and deviant metabolic processes.
Sleep is a homeostatic function and the disorder of the autonomic
nervous system can disturb sleep. A research team investigated
the influence of Onsen on sleep quality since Onsen is widely known
that it promotes the regulation of the autonomic nervous system.
They explored that Onsen soaking with the length of more
than 30 minutes and the frequency of more than three times per week,
the researchers observed that inflammatory cytokines
significantly decreased, with increasing neurotransmitters.
Those factors are the major indicators for being quality sleep.
